Roles we are recruiting for:
A la Carte Waiter – Experienced in A la Carte service with knowledge of wine. Responsible for looking after seated guests and taking orders, delivering orders to guests, and clearing tables. A la Carte waiters must be able to cooperate with kitchen staff to ensure service runs smoothly.
Barista – Knowledgeable in the complexities of coffee, preparing and serving coffee, tea, artisan and speciality beverages. Baristas should be capable of consistently creating latte art in their coffee.
Bartender – Able to prepare basic beverages, pour wines, spirits and beer, and interact with customers while serving drinks and snacks.
Banquet Waiter – Responsible for serving food and beverages to event guests and keeping their tables clean and cleared. Banquet waiters should be experienced with set menus, buffet, alternate drops and canape service. Must be capable of carrying/clearing 3 plates and serving wine confidently.
Corporate/Boardroom Waiter – Capable of providing exceptional service in a warm, friendly and welcoming manner. Responsible for delivering food and beverages in a professional and at times discreet manner, ensuring that boardrooms are set-up correctly and within a timely fashion, and liaising with all team members including chefs to assess and meet requirements for the day.
Event Supervisor – Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of a team. Must be capable of following instruction from the Event Coordinator on duty and be able to guide and direct staff efficiently. Our supervisors are expected to be flexible and have significant experience, preferably having managed various events throughout their career. From 10 to 5000 guests, from set menus to alternate menus, cocktail parties to stadiums, our supervisors must be fully confident in managing teams of all levels to make sure an event runs smoothly.
Runner – Under the direction of a Supervisor or Senior staff member, a runner assists in the running of food or beverages to the allocated guests tables.
The successful candidate must have:
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Fully vaccinated
- RSA Certified
- WWCC (Working With Children Check) preferred
